Chromoprobe® Multiprobe-I System protocole
Cytocell's Satellite probes are chromosome specific sequences generated from highly repeated human satellite DNA sequences located in the centromeric, pericentromeric or heterochromatic regions of each chromosome. These probes can be used in the identification and enumeration of human chromosomes in interphase and metaphase cells, in the identification of marker chromosomes and in the detection of aneuploidy.
Amongst the other applications, satellite probes are routinely used for the detection of hyperdiploidy and pseudohaploidy in patients with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia when conventional cytogenetics has shown normal or failed results and enables the improtant assignment to prognostic subgroups.
The Chromoprobe Multiprobe -I System allows the simultaneous analysis of all chromosome satellite sequences on a tissue sample in one single hybridisation. It combines a Multiprobe glass device of 24 squared areas with a complete set of alpha-satellite /satellite III probes.
Each square of the Multiprobe carries a satellite probe for one or more of the 24 chromosomes. The probes are directly labelled with a red fluorophore (Texas Red spectrum).
The Chromoprobe Multiprobe System is designed for fluorescence in situ hybridisation (FISH) of interphase cells or metaphase chromosomes from fixed cultured peripheral blood cells.
Formats

Each kit contains the reagents to test 2 (Ref. PMP015), 5 (Ref. PMP004) or 10 (Ref. PMP003) samples.

Aquarius Satellite Probes
The Aquarius Satellite probe range consists of alpha and classical satellite probes for each chromosome. The probes are available independently and are directly labelled in either a green, a red or a blue fluorophore (FITC, Texas Red or Coumarin (Aqua filter) spectra respectively).
Two dual labelled X and Y probe sets are also available as Aquarius directly labelled probes in a 10 test format. These may be used in the assessment of XX and XY cells in sex mismatched bone-marrow transplantation.
